During the daylight on the afternoon of June 17, Venus was occulted by the crescent Moon. Chris Predom took these pictures as Venus reappeared, with the Moon slowly drifting to the left as time passed. The first two pictures were taken with an iphone through an 8″ Dobsonian at 5:10 and 5:30 pm. He took the bottom picture with his iphone at 9:16 pm, when the Moon and Venus were a few degrees apart and Jupiter was visible to their lower right.
