President’s Annual Message
Greetings:
I hope you’re all doing great and had a wonderful holiday!
2025 was another year of achievements for ASNH. We’ve seen an increase in our event attendance. Al Washburn has shared our Meteorite collection with even more enthusiastic groups. Jim Mazur has teamed up on the “Star Hopper’s Guide to the Universe.” You might want to check it out—it’s fantastic! https://www.asnh.org/Animation/. It’s a large document, so it might take a few minutes to load.
Our summer Solstice picnic was a blast, with great food and wonderful company. The Winter Solstice Fun Quiz was another enjoyable and knowledge-packed experience for everyone who participated. This year’s 35th CSP was a resounding success. We had two nights of clear skies, delicious food, and amazing presentations. 2025 has been a good year for auroras, a few comets, so-so meteor showers, and good solar activity.
2026 looks to be another busy year, organizations are already scheduling events.
Happy New Year!
Best regards and clear skies.
Greg

Upcoming Monthly Meetings on Zoom
Tuesday, January 27, 7:00 pm
Tuesday, February 24, 7:00 pm
Tuesday, March 31, 7:00 pm
We will continue to use this format for monthly meetings for now. A week or two before each meeting, members will receive an email announcement with a link that will allow them to connect to the online meeting.
Just click the link or copy and paste in your browser and that will connect you to the meeting. You can do this on any device that has an internet connection and a browser. You can do this on a smart phone. You can display yourself if you like with your selfie camera on your device. If you don’t that’s okay, don’t feel you have to.
You can also dial in to the meeting. The number and password will be given in the announcement.
