Venus Transit 6/8/2004 by Leo Taylor658 viewsClouds extended from the horizon to about 10 degrees. The first sighting
of the Sun was 10 minutes after dawn when it peeked through the clouds.
The haze was so dense you could see Venus naked eye, and I snapped this
shot without a filter. The clouds completely covered the Sun seconds later,
but we wery happy to have these few minutes of visibility.

Photo by Leo Taylor567 views7-01-07 - One day after the Venus-Saturn Conjunction the planets were just 48
arcminutes apart. Saturn was 10 AU from Earth and 16 arcseconds wide
thus appears small in this FOV. Stellarvue Nighthawk 80mm, Pentax
K100D, single exposure of 1/10th second. Inset is 3x to reveal shape.
